He has a college degree, a high paying job he hates, a hatefully disfunctional family, a brand new Audi that Beau describes as a car held together with spit and wishes, no self confidence, and has burried his only dream so deep even he can barely remember it..When that car breaks down in Beau's hometown, at Beau's garage, Mason gets a chance to see what life could be like if someone actually liked him, or even loved him.
The characters are well fleshed out and realistic with attitudes that are believable. I live near the one citiy mentioned in the book so I have the give the author kudos for research. The differences between Beau's and Mason's families are beautifully portrayed. Mason's struggles to believe anyone could love him will break your heart. I could not put my kindle down until I finished this book. Well worth the read!

Mechanic, Beau Gaines was content in Dixon, Alabama. He had goals and dreams that he knew in time he would achieve. When Mason Palmer's car breaks down near his garage, Beau never expected the pompous and obnoxious city slicker to be the man he wanted to share his dreams with.
Mason has led a privileged materialistic life, being stranded in hick town in the middle of Alabama was the worst thing to happen to him, or so he thought. For all the money Mason had, the value didn't compare to the love Beau offered him.
A Tender Rough was very sweet. Mason was a lonely man who was so deep in the closet about every aspect of his life that meeting Beau was a culture shock on so many levels for him. Beau taught him so much, but most importantly he taught him that he was worthy of love and it was okay to have dreams and want to live a full happy life. Before Beau came along Mason was only existing, after he met Beau he started living. A Tender Rough is another terrific story from Fae Sutherland that left me smiling and very happy to have read it.

Really enjoyed the book although I wish there was a little bit more to the ending.
Terrific read, serious sexual situations, sympathetic characters, incongruous setting for a relationship to develop and nurture. I liked these guys even though they were both somewhat stereotypical, but it was a swift, sure ride and no critters were annihilated.
Right from the start you are hooked.. I could not but this story down.. except to go work.. damn.. but finish reading when I go home..
The love that country shows the city is so warming you feel like he love you.. City is so emotionall baggaged that you have to take a pick to his mental walls..
The story shows that love is strong when you believ..
So beautiful written.. sexual but sweet at the same time..

There is so much sweetness in this story..i enjoyed both characters especially Beau..he was a delight really. This story was passionate and brought together two lonely souls who had no idea it was going to happen.. I loved the pictures their coming together created. I loved how Beau's family's love was unconditional. It is a a wonderfully written fairytale, i didn't want it to end. Great job...Ms. Sutherland
